Philip Anthony-Rodriguez's versatility as a performer knows no borders. He plays Adrian's well-meaning father on ABC Family Channel's hit series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." From Broadway to TV, film, commercials and voiceovers, Philip has done it all. As one of the stars of the UPN sci-fi drama "Jake 2.0," he portrayed Kyle Duarte, a tough but compassionate senior NSA agent. He joined the cast of the hit Fox series "24" this season. His other TV guest star roles include: "CSI: NY," "Eli Stone," "NCIS," "Hannah Montana," "Shark," and "CSI: Miami."

Philip is also the Spanish-speaking/singing voice for Elmo and Telly Monster on "Sesame Street," and has created memorable voice characters for video games including "Vice City: Grand Theft Auto," "SoCom," and "Spiderman." He's appeared on Broadway in "Not About Nightingales" and "Buddy -- The Buddy Holly Story" (NY Drama League -- Distinguished Performance) and Off-Broadway in "4 Guys Named Jose ... And Una Mujer Named Maria." He starred in the action flick "Undercurrent," and his upcoming film roles include "Ode" (not yet rated). Philip was featured in the "People En Espanol" 2008 year-end wrap-up.

Character
When Adrian set out on a mission to find her real father, she may not have bargained for Ruben. Turns out her biological dad is a hotshot Assistant District Attorney. He's married and has two kids, but Ruben's determined to turn Adrian's life around for the better. How? By having her come live with his family. And if she says no, her mom may not back her up. Ruben let Cindy have her way back when she was pregnant with Adrian and didn't want to get married, but he might not be a pushover this time around.
