Actor
Brian's originally from Jerusalem, but he grew up in London and Toronto, then got his start in comedy with Chicago's famous Second City troupe. He's since made a name for himself in film and television. His most recognizable role was as Pakistani restaurateur Babu Bhatt on "Seinfeld," but his recent TV credits include "Desperate Housewives," "American Dad," and "So NoTORIous." Brian's been in both cult and mainstream hit films like "Austin Powers," "Ghost World," "Bubble Boy," and "Shades of Ray" (not yet rated).

Character
Dr. Shakur is Ricky's foster father. He knows he's not Ricky's real dad, but he's tried his best to be a good role model. Now that Ricky's going to be a father himself, Dr. Shakur may be the best resource Ricky has -- if Ricky can swallow his pride long enough to confide in him.
