Pilot: Class of Beverly Hills
October 4, 1990
A job transfer moves the Walsh family from small town Minnesota to glamour-capital Beverly Hills. Talk about a culture shock... Twins Brandon and Brenda attend West Beverly High, and find that priorities are different here than in farm country. Brandon meets the school newspaper editor, Andrea, a hard-nosed, go-getter, with a bit of a secret. He also befriends Steve, a spoiled rich kid with a bad attitude. Meanwhile, Brenda makes friends with popular Kelly and fashionista Donna, and David and Scott roam the halls as freshmen.

The Green Room
October 11, 1990
Andrea hands Brandon an assignment to write an editorial on being a transfer student at West Beverly and later bonds with a young student who is being bullied. Brandon befriends Dylan McKay, a loner with a bad-boy attitude, unlike straitlaced Brandon.

Every Dream Has Its Price (Tag)

Brenda feels the pressure of being the odd-man-out while shopping on Rodeo Drive with Kelly and Tiffany, and goes to the extreme to fit in with their group. The Walsh family decides to hire a maid.

The First Time
October 25, 1990
Brandon decides to try out for the basketball team, but finds out that there is a lot of competition. Steve bitterly suspects that some of the more talented student athletes are brought into school from out of district for the sole purpose of winning games. Andrea looks into it for the Blaze, but most of the allegations turn out to be false. Brenda continues with drivers training and then loses Brandon's car when trying to rescue Kelly from a date. One on One

When an unreasonable grading curve causes Brandon's grades to slip, he considers cheating which damages his new friendship with Andrea. Meanwhile, Brenda decides to dye her hair blonde to impress Dylan, but the result is anything but flattering.

Perfect Mom
November 22, 1990
A mother/daughter fashion show is taking place at West Beverly, and Kelly's hip and glamorous mother is set to emcee the chic event. Brenda is enthralled by Kelly's cool mom and is so embarassed by her own mother, that she fails to mention the event to Cindy. Meanwhile, Brandon suggests that Andrea enter the event, but she refuses, fearing her out-of-district status may be exposed.

The 17-Year Itch
November 29, 1990
The Walshes celebrate their seventeenth anniversary, but Cindy feels dissatisfied because Jim is neglecting her for his work. Sparks fly when she runs into Glen, an old flame with a passion for art. Brandon and Brenda take part in a college study on twins, but are distracted by their parents' marital problems. Meanwhile, David becomes the new campus deejay after Steve chokes during his tryout.

The Gentle Art of Listening

When Brenda decides to volunteer at a teen crisis hotline, Andrea questions the popular girl's motives. But Brenda's devotion is proven above reproach when she successfully counsels a date rape victim. Meanwhile, Brandon develops an interest in an older woman, all while dodging the advances of a freshman admirer.

Isn't it Romantic?

Sparks fly when Brenda returns home to find Dylan in her shower, wearing nothing but a towel. He finds her embarrassment endearing and the two go out on their first date, which worries Jim and annoys Brandon. Dylan's family problems bring the couple even closer, and they share an explosive first kiss. Meanwhile, Steve flirts with the speaker for a school assembly but backs off when he learns her very unsexy secret.

B.Y.O.B.

When Jim and Cindy leave town for a weekend, Brenda convinces Brandon to help her throw a small, intimate party. Unfortunately, things don't go quite as planned. The small gathering turns into a major rager, and before long Casa Walsh is trashed. Worse, Brandon is arrested when he gets into a drunk driving accident. Meanwhile, a drunken Kelly sleeps with Steve and Dylan reveals he is an alcoholic.

One Man and a Baby
January 24, 1991
Brandon is surprised to learn that his latest paramour, a scholarly senior with Ivy League ambition, is also a teen mother. At first, perpetual nice-guy Brandon enjoys playing "house" for a few days with Melissa and baby Joey. But when Melissa is rejected from Harvard because they fear she can't handle the stress of full-time school and parenting, he realizes that the notion isn't as romantic as it seems. Meanwhile, Brenda and Kelly win a radio contest, but their prize isn't exactly front-row concert tickets...

Slumber Party
January 31, 1991
Brenda organizes a slumber party and invites Kelly, Donna, and Andrea. An appearance by snobby Amanda, a friend of Kelly's, causes tension between the group. David and Scott catch word of what's happening and turn up, hoping to snap some lewd pictures of the girls. Meanwhile, Steve and Brandon pick up two girls, who show their true colors when they drive off with Steve's car.

East Side Story
February 14, 1991
The Walshes allow a young girl, Carla (their maid's niece), to use their address so she can attend West Beverly High School. Brandon becomes interested in her, but suspects she is hiding something. Meanwhile, Jim arranges a party for one of his clients, Chick Schneider, and Brandon explodes with anger when he finds Carla waitressing and being used as cheap labor.

A Fling in Palm Springs (a.k.a. Palm Springs Weekend)
February 21, 1991
The gang decides to spend a weekend in picturesque Palm Springs. Brenda agrees to meet Dylan at a hotel, but can't remember which one and ends up sleeping in a hotel linen closet. David leads Kelly and Donna into his vacant grandparents house... which isn't so vacant. Meanwhile, Brandon has to stay behind and work at The Peach Pit, and catches a young boy stealing from the cash register.

Fame Is Where You Find It
February 28, 1991
Brandon finds himself with a role on a popular television drama and gets involved with the leading lady, the beautiful Lydia Leeds. Meanwhile, Brenda temporarily takes over Brandon's job at the Peach Pit where she puts her own acting skills to good use, adopting the role of a sarcastic, gum chomping waitress.

Stand (Up) and Deliver
March 7, 1991
Popular Brandon and nerdy Michael slug it out for class president, with campaign manager Kelly putting Brandon's good looks to good use. She even agrees to a date with David in exchange for his help on Brandon's campaign. Brenda meets a high-school-dropout turned performance artist whose seemingly glamorous, care-free life leads Brenda to consider quitting school.

It's Only a Test
March 28, 1991
While doing a self test for breast tumors with Kelly and Donna, Brenda discovers a small lump on her left breast. Her worst fears are confirmed when the doctor determines that their is indeed a lump and a biopsy must be done. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang are nervously prepping for their SAT's, and Andrea's test anxiety leads to a makeout session with the most unlikely of candidates.

April Is the Cruelest Month
April 11, 1991
Brandon gets assigned to a story on West Beverly's star tennis player, Roger Azarian, who is initially resistant but finally allows Brandon to interview him. He finds a screenplay that Roger wrote, and it's autobiographical contents lead Brandon to worry that the tennis star may be considering patricide. Meanwhile, the gang learn their SAT scores, and Donna's low scores convince her that hanging out with the school's loser quotient is the only future she has.

Spring Training
April 25, 1991
Brandon and Steve experience the competitive nature of Little League when they step in as temporary coaches of the Beverly Hills team. Brandon is disgusted with the pressure and the politics, especially when he sees how his team treats the underprivileged players of an opposing team. Meanwhile, Brenda befriends a stray dog and desperately tries to find him a home, before Jim forces her to take it to a homeless shelter.

Spring Dance
May 2 1991
The night of the Spring Dance is approaching, and the event has everyone in a tailspin. Spring Princess Kelly asks Brandon to be her escort, whose acceptance infuriates Andrea. Brenda and Kelly are infuriated also, when they discovers that they bought the same dress for the dance. Meanwhile, Brenda and Dylan decide to take their relationship to the next level, and Andrea decides to spend the evening alone watching prom horror movies.

Home Again
May 9, 1991
When Jim is offered a promotion that will double his salary, he can't afford to turn it down. Unfortunately for the Walsh family, the promotion means a move back to Minneapolis. The twins' friends don't exactly take the news well. Steve distances himself from Brandon, Andrea offers her virginity to Brandon, and Brenda tells Dylan she may be pregnant.
